Saturday at The Alchemist
Yesterday I did readings at The Alchemist in Clinton. The Friday class was not well attended, a direct result of Good Friday. That's life in a collection of small towns, I tend to forget that. I did do four readings yesterday, though, so there's that.
I truly enjoy the owner of The Alchemist. She's a wonderful young woman who is funny, insightful, wise beyond her years, and direct without being a jerk about it. I ran some things by her, including telling her the story of The Space, and she offered some insight about it. She's right, of course, and she wasn't telling me anything I didn't already know, but it was helpful to hear the perspective of someone who is not my in-law or my wife. Spoiler alert: The Space will probably not happen. I will still continue to help my friend clear out the back shop in her building because it is good that she wants to do this, but even though her heart is in the right place, I have to remember that I am dealing with a hoarder, not a normal person.
I am looking forward to next Saturday. The energy in Clinton is very different than the Utica area, and I love going there to visit. It reminds me of Canada. I could stroll through the main part of the village all day, and there are days when I have done exactly that. I can't wait for the farmer's market to start!
Well, that's all I've got for now. It's time to start adulting and do the Sunday tidy-up. Everyone have a lovely day and if you celebrate Easter, enjoy your dinner!
